Happy Thursday to you All
It would mean a lot to me if you could have a peek at my latest auction, I have given her the name Precious because i have been hitting brick walls in my sculpting for the last couple of months and she is the first decent thing to come out of it so far!

Yishu Update!! 26th October 2011

Apparently the small 6” figure’s where not meant to be lol, although I had great fun creating them, they were just too small for me and they were giving me a bit of a headache.  Also I am really struggling on the realistic side, it’s been a couple of months now and I haven’t produced anything decent, and I certainly wouldn’t sell them with all the flaws.  Although this is what art and the world of OOAKing is all about learning, developing and moving on from your mistakes.  Which I certainly have had a few all though I am getting better at heads & hands, instead of struggling to save it and spending hours in the process I squish it and move on.  I have learned a lot through this couple of months experimenting.  And I am hoping to have something decent and worth posting for Halloween which is not that far away unfortunately I very much doubt it will be anywhere near finished but at least it would have progressed!!   I am sorry to keep going on about it and it can be very frustrating where you spend days and have nothing to show for it other than a ball of clay which has been squished 1000’s of times.  My next adventure is going back to my roots and what I love cartoons!!! But unlike Elena the Enchanted princess I am going to have a little more proportion in the next one. Although stating true to a cartoon nature.  Wish me luck I’ll keep you posted.  Thank you for stopping by!!

Yishu Update!! - 12 September 2011

Not the most productive weekend i have had tried to get some clarification on what i would like to sculpt from now on and it didn't matter what i did i kept getting drawn to the 16" cartoon pieces again although i wanted to create more realistic ones. I have tried making smaller pieces and trying different clay all so far not successful and are sitting in a box under my desk.
Although this sunday i got out a 16" head and body that was in the mystery box under my bed and have decided to start work on it again, Just going with the flow this time......

So far she has been sanded and covered in TLS and baked. when i started to paint her features she ended up as a goth, so i am just going with it LOL. Decided not to argue:)

On the bright side i have caught up with a programme called the Middle and Started to watch Downton Abbey which is Brilliant really getting into it the push is on because the new series starts soon!!!!!!

I hope you all had wonderful weekends?!!
